It covers the personal liability risk of the skipper and crew. Personal injury and damage to property and financial losses as a result of personal injury and damage to property are insured up to the amount of the sum insured.

Die Profi-Skipperhaftpflichtversicherung ist für Dich die wichtigste Versicherung beim Führen einer Yacht!
Sie deckt das persönliche Haftungsrisiko des Skippers ab. Personen- und Sachschäden und die daraus resultierenden Vermögensschäden sind bis zur Höhe der Deckungssumme der Police versichert.

Gültig für 12 Monate:

• Der „Profiskipper“ kann bis zu 17 Meter oder bis zu 21 Meter lange Yachten für maximal 10 Fahrten pro Saison wählen.
• Der gewerbliche Skipper (Berufsskipper) kann aus Tarifen bis zu 17 Metern, bis zu 21 Metern oder über 21 Metern wählen. Für die Anzahl der Fahrten gibt es keine Begrenzung.

Mitversichert sind:

• Ansprüche des Vercharterers für Schäden am Boot durch grobe Fahrlässigkeit
• die Benutzung des Beibootes
• Kaution zur Vermeidung der Beschlagnahme des Bootes bis zu 60.000 EUR

Für jeden Versicherungsfall gilt eine Selbstbeteiligung von 150 EUR.

Versicherungsterminologie: Was ist eigentlich grobe Fahrlässigkeit?

Grobe Fahrlässigkeit ist eine extreme Form der Fahrlässigkeit, die eine rücksichtslose Missachtung der Sicherheit oder des Wohlergehens anderer beinhaltet. Sie geht über einfache Unachtsamkeit hinaus und beinhaltet oft eine bewusste Gleichgültigkeit gegenüber den möglichen Folgen des eigenen Handelns. Dieser Punkt wird im Übrigen von der Versicherungsgesellschaft oder den Gerichten festgelegt.

Professional skipper liability insurance is the most important insurance policy for you when captaining a yacht!
It covers the skipper’s personal liability risk. Personal injury, property damage and the resulting financial losses are insured up to the sum insured under the policy.

Valid for 12 months:

The ‘professional skipper’ can choose yachts up to 17 metres or up to 21 metres in length for a maximum of 10 trips per season.
The commercial skipper (professional skipper) can choose from rates up to 17 metres, up to 21 metres or over 21 metres. There is no limit to the number of trips.

The following are also insured:

Die Charter-Ausfallschadenversicherung deckt den finanziellen Schaden des Vercharterers wenn Du per Gesetz oder per Regelung im Chartervertrag zur Zahlung einer Entschädigung verpflichtet bist.

Leistungen:

• Weltweiter Schutz für jeden Törn, 12 Monate lang
• gedeckt sind Charterausfallkosten bis zu 25.000,-€ aufgrund gesetzlicher Haftung (z.B. bei einem Yachtschaden) oder aus vertraglicher Vereinbarung mit der Charterfirma (z. B. durch Schlechtwetter, oder bei Krankheit)
• Die Selbstbeteiligung von 3 Tagen gilt nur bei einem Nutzungsausfall wegen eines Yachtschadens.

Bitte beachte: Die versicherte Wochencharter muss mindestens so hoch wie die tatsächliche Wochencharter (ohne Rabatte und Nachlässe) sein, sonst liegt eine Unterversicherung vor. Schäden werden in diesem Fall nur im Verhältnis der Höhe der versicherten Wochencharter zur tatsächlichen Wochencharter reguliert, was nachteilig für Dich wäre.

A shipping accident, storm or sudden illness often means the end of your sailing trip. But the consequences can be much more far-reaching if the boat you chartered is not available in time for the next charter. Charter Consequential Damage Insurance covers the financial loss incurred by the charter company if you are obliged to pay compensation by law or by a provision in the charter agreement. Benefits:

• Worldwide cover for every trip, for 12 months
• Charter Consequential Damage costs of up to €25,000 are covered due to legal liability (e.g. in the event of yacht damage) or contractual agreement with the charter company (e.g. due to bad weather or illness).
• The excess of 3 days only applies in the event of loss of use due to yacht damage.

Please note: The insured weekly charter must be at least as high as the actual weekly charter (without discounts and reductions), otherwise you will be underinsured. In this case, damages will only be settled in proportion to the amount of the insured weekly charter to the actual weekly charter, which would be disadvantageous for you.

Are you unable to return the charter boat to the base on time (e.g. because you have fallen ill)? We will cover the costs of a replacement skipper who will bring the boat and, if necessary, the crew back to the charter base quickly and safely.

Schließe eine Charter-Rücktrittversicherung am besten gleich nach der Buchung der Charteryacht ab! Sie belastet die Bordkasse nicht groß und schützt Dich und Deine Crew ab sofort vor eventuellen Storno-Kosten und viel Ärger!

Bitte beachte: Die Versicherung leistet nicht, wenn für Dich oder das betroffene Crewmitglied der Versicherungsfall bei Abschluss der Versicherung schon voraussehbar war. Das gilt insbesondere bei Vorerkrankungen und chronischen Krankheiten.

Leistungen:

• Weltweiter Schutz – sofort nach Policierung bis inklusive Rückreise
• Absicherung der Gesamtkosten für die Charter und – falls gewünscht – auch für Flug- und Hotelkosten.
• Du hast die Wahl: völlig ohne Selbstbehalt oder mit 20% Selbstbehalt.
• Leistung bei Ausfall von Skipper oder Crew vor der Reise und bei Reiseabbruch während des Törns. Bei Ausfall des Skippers werden die für Skipper und Crew anfallenden Kosten erstattet.
• Bei Ausfall eines Crewmitglieds werden die anteiligen Kosten für das jeweilige Crewmitglied und ggf. seine Begleitperson erstattet.
• Versicherte Gründe für den Reiserücktritt/Abbruch: Tod, unerwartete schwere Erkrankung, auch von Ehegatten, Kindern, Eltern, Geschwistern, Großeltern, Enkeln, Schwiegereltern oder Schwiegerkindern. Impfunverträglichkeiten oder Schäden am Eigentum des Versicherten.

Wie ist die Selbstbeteiligung (SB) geregelt? Die Selbstbeteiligung beträgt 20% der Leistungssumme. Die versicherte Summe besteht aus den gesamten Reisekosten, hier beispielhaft 10 000 EUR. Fällt ein Crewmitglied von, sagen wir, 5 Personen aus, dann ist die Leistungssumme 1/5tel der Reisekosten, eben 2 000 EUR. 20% davon ergeben eine SB von 400 EUR.

All done: the dream boat for your cruise is booked in good time and the crew is complete. But who bears the costs if a crew member or you as skipper cancels?

It’s best to take out charter cancellation insurance immediately after booking the charter yacht! It won’t put a big strain on your on-board funds and will protect you and your crew from any cancellation costs and a lot of hassle!

Please note: The insurance does not pay out if the insured event was already foreseeable for you or the crew member concerned when you took out the insurance. This applies in particular to pre-existing conditions and chronic illnesses.

Benefits:

• Worldwide cover – immediately after policy issue up to and including return journey
• Cover for the total cost of the charter and – if desired – also for flight and hotel costs.
• You have the choice: completely without deductible or with 20% deductible
• Benefit in the event of skipper or crew cancellation before the trip and in the event of trip cancellation during the trip.
• If the skipper cancels, the costs incurred by the skipper and crew will be reimbursed.
• In the event of cancellation of a crew member, the pro rata costs for the respective crew member and, if applicable, their companion will be reimbursed.
• Insured reasons for trip cancellation/termination: death, unexpected serious illness, including that of spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, parents-in-law or children-in-law. Vaccination incompatibilities or damage to the insured person’s property.

How is the deductible (excess) regulated? The deductible is 20% of the sum insured. The insured sum consists of the total travel costs, i.e. EUR 10,000. If a crew member of, say, crew of 5 people is cancelled, then the sum insured is 1/5th of the travel costs, i.e. EUR 2,000. 20% of this results in a deductible of EUR 400.
